Living Heritage

A number of years ago, the fanfare band was proclaimed immaterial heritage in the Netherlands as well as Flanders, Belgium. This living and dynamic form of heritage is passed on from generation to generation, although it does change over time. You could say that music – in this case the fanfare band – is the link between the past, the present and the future. This beautiful notion was the composer’s source of inspiration to write Living Heritage.
