Description
Alexandre Dumas (1802-1870) published his swashbuckling novel under the title “The 3 Musketeers” in 1844. The book became a world success and numerous adaptations have been done for the stage, television and films.
Jean-François Michel invites 4 cornet or trumpet players to play the heroic and audacious adventurers with their otherwise peaceful brass instruments. Musical pirouettes, jumping intervals or lyrical musical complicity challenge the soloist’s pugilistic imaginations in this exciting adventure with an appropriate accompaniment of a brass band (BIM TP336b/c) or optional wind band (BIM TP336d/e). Both versions include full sets of scores and parts.

This piece can be played with guest soloists. In such instances, the tutti cornets parts assignments should be as follows:

Tutti 2 = ripiano and 2nd cornets
Tutti 3 = 3rd cornets

Tutti 3 = minimum 1 cornet
